Art From Our Heart (June)
Description
Art From Our Heart | June Session 2025
Date: Saturday, June 14
Time: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Mourning Hope Grief Center
Art From Our Heart is an opportunity for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone significant to express their thoughts and emotions through art.
For our June session, youth ages 4–18 will create a framed memory garden using real pressed flowers and picture frames. This creative activity invites participants to reflect on their loved one by writing their name, a short message or an affirmation on cardstock before arranging and gluing pressed flowers to complete a personalized, meaningful design. Each memory garden will be sealed in a frame to take home—a beautiful keepsake that honors both love and loss.
Throughout the session, participants will be encouraged to share memories, explore emotions and discuss how hope can emerge even through grief.
Caregivers will attend the session and meet separately with Mourning Hope staff and volunteers who will guide a supportive discussion.
There is no cost to attend this event, but registration is required.
